Women2Women-European 2022 Alumnae
Conference - Program Overview

What to Expect

  • Empower Peace will organize and conduct a weekend-long alumnae event for up to 70 Women2Women alumnae leaders from throughout Europe. Participants will be recruited from all of the 20 European countries that have graduated leaders from the W2W program since our inception.

  • The select leaders will participate in an exciting 3-day program (2 nights/3 days) featuring presenters from some of the most prestigious colleges and organizations in the United States and throughout Europe. In addition, esteemed professionals representing business, government and non-profit organizations will lead our skills building workshops and participate in panel discussions.

  • The W2W alumnae leaders will participate in a series of workshops covering a variety of topics including leadership development, financial management, gender equity and personal growth.

  • The result of this life enhancing experience will be the further establishment of a tight network of female leaders committed to bringing about positive change in their communities and country. This network will enhance the foundation of an ever-growing network of Empower Peace female leaders committed to building bridges of communication, cooperation, peace and understanding to the region while enhancing opportunities for women of all ages and backgrounds.

Application Process

We know that each of our Alumnae are eligible to participate in this program. Unfortunately, space is limited. To be as fair as possible in the selection process, applicants will be selected via a country based random drawing.  If you are interested in joining us, please complete the application. The purpose of the application is to simply know who is interested in attending, country of origin and a little bit about what you are currently involved in.

Program Hosts

Through a global network of youth, Empower Peace is providing the next generation with the opportunities and tools needed to build cultural competencies, develop leadership skills, advance mutual respect and understanding, promote peace and confront the issues of today.

Empower Peace, a Boston USA-based international non-profit was created in 2003. Our organization’s premiere program is the Women2Women International Leadership Program (W2W). W2W was developed to provide rising young female leaders with the skills needed to succeed in our global community.  W2W builds a network of promising young women from around the globe, engages them in the issues that define their lives, and provides them with the tools, relationships and opportunities required to lead.

Since its launch in 2006, over 2,000 emerging female leaders from nearly 80 countries have participated in this life-changing leadership experience.

The American Embassy in The Hague promotes strong bilateral ties between the United States and the Netherlands and works actively to increase cooperation on counter terrorism, enhance U.S. economic prosperity, and fight international crime and drugs.

It carries out these tasks by working with the Netherlands as a NATO and coalition partner; by promoting shared goals between the U.S. and the EU, of which the Netherlands is a member; by advocating U.S. trade policy goals and U.S. business and commercial interests; and by working with law enforcement agencies in the Netherlands to fight transnational crime.
